The MyAdventures Blogs are part of the Adventures in Missions Network
Today is my 2 year work anniversary at Adventures in Missions. I have come to love this workplace and this community, and my job as worship coordinator very much. I used to dream about getting paid to do the things I’m doing now, and it isn’t always easy, but it’s a Kingdom-dream realized.
It’s been a wild and wonderful ride, but God has made it clear that it’s time for me to step into something new. I’m pumped to share this life update with you:
I’m going on the world race again, as an alumni squad leader!
I’ll be leaving in August to go on the field for 5 months with a squad of ~40 people. I’ll be discipling and training the participants, waking them up to their identity in Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within them.
This was not something I expected, and when I was initially approached about it I was quick to say “no thanks.” But God wouldn’t let me stop thinking about it until I realized that it was His will. So here we are, and now I’m actually stoked for this next season. I’ve been referring to it as “my surprise from Jesus.” He really does give the best gifts. I had an incredible experience on my world race, and it will be a joy to impart what I have to others.
I will be raising a total of $6,500 to cover my expenses for squad leading. If you are already a monthly donor, your donation will begin applying to my squad leading expenses after I meet my staff goal. You don’t need to change anything with your donation for this to happen. I’m so thankful for you and your support!
I am also seeking a few new monthly donors as well as one-time donations and would greatly appreciate your generosity as I pursue the path God is leading me along.
My training begins on June 1st, and racers arrive on June 4th for training camp. I’ll be posting more updates as launch approaches, and would love to answer any questions you may have.
MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL.
